Hey Man

Not all cars are enabled with MP3 Playback although it is something which can be done by the dealer FOC as long as your car is under warrenty.
BMW have put out an Service Bulletin, which when presented to the dealer, should let them enable the MP3 playback on your vehicle as your drive is capable of doing it.

here's a link to the bulletin on Rogers site

If you search the forum there are a few more details on this too.

I got my car used and not from a bmw main dealer but from another garage. Will i still be able to get the upgrade done completely free?

I have a PDC problem at the moment as well so i might see if they can do both at the same time. but i dont want my pants pulled down with the prices people try n charge for just plugin a lappy in!

Probably they will charge ?100 or so.
Once done, tell them you won't pay those money for a 5 minutes job.

warranty = 100% free and you can show them the bulletin
no warranty = tell them you heard about a bulletin and that it's free (don't SHOW) the bulletin. they will most likely still do it for free bc they are too lazy to find it. It prob. takes them longer to find the bulletin than do the upgrade
