OK, I'm going to mount the B2 control unit here...(See pic)

Any advice possible about tapping into the cig lighter supply/trim removal to allow it etc etc would be VERY much appreciated

Hopefully I could just tap in with scotchlock connectors

I have mine mounted at the same place. The engineer took power from under the glovebox near the passenger footwell and the GPS sensor is below the tax disc holder and the radar detector is under the mirror.. The engineer did a great job as one cannot tell it is there apart from the cradle itself.

However the power is NOT controlled by ignition as he could not do that, but i never leave the unit in the cradle anyway and have set a 20 minute power off in the B2 unit anyway.

I'd love to see some pictures of the position if possible

does the unit get a good enough view of the sky behind the tax disk?

was there any problem with running the cables etc?

thanks

You can probably get to the glave box for power. You have to start by poping off the air vents/wood panel trim, then you take the radio faceplates and stufff. I think there are two screws and the rest of it snaps. Then opens the glove box and undo some of the screws in the top. Then the glove box comes out. Then you can do the wiring by yourself. Take a empty fuse or tap into one. Maybe the one with the cig lighter for ignition power.

I reckon I'm going to spend a weekend studying the TIS cd which I was given today.

I'm sure I'll find the info there.

Glovebox route seems the best because I can run the gps cable through there also.

thanks all
