No, I don't know anything about how a car works.
There is no power increase by the use of a module. If you pump racing fuel, then this is a different story.
But if you want a power box for your car, i have one which increase the power of a 545i as 16hp and 2.75 nm. This is a Power System.

This sounds like the American saying "snake oil." Definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_oil
What the SFI module is supposed to do to the engine, a remapped ECU already does. Isn't this the same thing? A remapping of the ECU is tried and true (some will say otherwise), but the Power System is an unknown commodity. I think what would help sway the opinions of the e60 owners here is if you would have a volunteer. Dyno the car before the SFI module is connected and after. Do we have any European owners willing to be a volunteer?

It modifie the fuel viscosity, it result a best combustion, power increase, less consumption and the injection don't clog up. It doesn't work like a remapped ecu, it' isn't the same product. To increase power there is an other Power System add box.

no problem with your product, good luck but Iceman knows as much of BMW, as they about us
Original power 218 Ch
Profit of power + 27 Ch
Profit of couple + 5.4 Mkg
Type of connector 3 voies Bosch
Engine Type Diesel
not bad but my juiced car gained from 211 to 265hp and 500Nm to 608 Nm, if I floor it the performance is significant, and consumption (although I never cared for that!!!) is the same or slightly differse.
When remap of ECU was done I got 4-5 L less in city, so this SFI is a "black box" for me, as long as it is plug-and-play. Do not really trust stuff tested and refered on Renaults and Peugeots, but no offence.
Heinz give you 320 hp! and HAMANN 350 hp! so???

Congratulation for your ride, it's a very nice 545i.
In united states you' ve got good state. And you can drive V8 because fuel is not expensive. Here in France, 1 liter cost 1.40?. So i drive a 535d 272hp.

My Ride: E61 535d Apr 05. UK spec + Media Pack, Luxury Pack & Visibility Pack
[edit: removed Iceman quote - no longer very relevant to the post, but I started answering there!]
Quotes from the www.powersystem.fr site:
"Le module SFI am?liore et purifie votre carburant par un traitement haute fr?quence. Ce module ?lectronique g?n?re des ultrasons, r?duisant la viscosit? du carburant. Il favorise ainsi sa pulv?risation et permet une combustion plus efficace et plus propre." The SFI module improves and purifies your fuel through a high frequency treatment. This electronic module generates ultrasounds that reduce fuel viscosity. They also improve its ability to nebulise, allowing a more effective and cleaner combustion
Now, then, methinks this is prime codswallop. Like the magnetic fuel conditioner stuff on eBay.
They also sell tuning boxes for petrol engines (same text and figures for E36 325i and E60 540i, though the boxes look different):
"L'augmentation de puissance est obtenue par l'optimisation du temps d'injection et la modification d'avance de l'allumage" The power increase is obtained through optimisation of injection and ignition timing
...and for diesel engines (E60 535d):
"Ce type de bo?tier conditionne une am?lioration de performances en modifiant la quantit? de carburant inject?e et la pression du Rail dans le respect des normes tol?r?es par le constructeur" This type of [tuning] box delivers a performance improvement by changing the amount of fuel injected and the [common] rail pressure within the limits specified by the manufacturer (I think they are speaking of the injector/pump supplier, rather than BMW)
Claiming reasonably high results (+30 HP on diesel, +16 HP on petrol - curiously the same on both rather different engines), but on line with other tuning box claims - which generally overpromise and underdeliver (see this post for example).
Good luck in peddling this stuff over here...

I just paid 1.45 ? / Liter when I filled my 545i up today and I am NOT in the USA.
Anyways, tell me something:
I know why the original chips can be optimized by chip tuning and why the car manufacturers are not delivering the chips in the optimized way first. I can somehow follow the logic behind it.
BUT: If the system you are advertising here is really that good, and increases the power, while reducing the consumption......... WHY are the car manufacturers not implementing this technique in their cars? The market is asking for cars with low fuel consumption, at least over here in EU, like you just stated. Wouldn't you think that if the product is so damn good, a car manufacturer would have a big advantage if he implements this technique and his cars are better in fuel consumption and power? I'd think so... And now tell me why this technique is aftermarket and not stock.

This is the question that i ask to me. Why manufacturer don't think about it?
However, you don't need to ask yourself why they don't think about it.
They DO, they even think on stuff that the regular driver/user of a car will not think about in the next 15-20 years. They are waaaay ahead and they do their homework!
The fact that there is NONE car manufacturer that has this in his car from the very beginning shows you, that there is a major problem with it! If not, they WOULD have it in the car!!
Trust me, I know what I talk about here.
They built their cars/engines in the best possible way and don't risk using such stuff for good reasons!

we got +47 hp + 108 Nm that is reprograming the "CPU" of the car based on knowledge gained in 25 yrs! I do believe motorsports experience and do not really in "magic".
