you will love the new engine Nicko, that is the one I have and I totaly love it.... well it was an engine of the year several years ago.... it is very smooth and yet powerfull.... none of the competion has such power+behaviour from 3l engine

by the way how much is the supercharger you are thinking about???? since I have the engine already.....

Hello Peter How are you?

Yes, M54 3.0 lt. engine was the most balanced between power-torque/consumption and continues, with the even more powerful N52 in the newer models.
Supercharger prices are starting from 3500 Euros and goes up to 10K or more depends on the brand and stage.

I hope that at our next meeting, you will have some more free time to spend with us
We can discuss with the other members, about a new one for 2007
I already missed Germany

Greetings from Athens to beautiful Prague

the engine should fit in nicely... my concern is ECU and gearbox....

if you are using auto... i dont know if it will last....

and what are you gonna do to your ECU? reflash it to the 3 litre one... or change the whole new ECU?

keep us updated... im interested

Hi
Gearbox is the same part number (6manual) ECU also, so it can be flashed to 3.0 L The different parts are clutch and differential.

Are you really doing it?I think the engine itself is actually powerful enough. No need for supercharger.Otherwise why not go for the 4.4 engine

Anyways make sure you get the 258hp 3.0 litre engine
a supercharger is much more fun than just the 4.4 and you get more MPG from a 3 than a 4.4

Nick, i don't know if you are aware, but ESS has a stage with 400hp for that engine.
