So... If you get the 545, you're not gonna mod it?

Personally, I'd rather have a decently modded 530, than have a bone-stock 545. I know i'll probably get flamed for that statement.

you already know he's going to end up modding the 545 if he gets it, especially since he found this forum.

id say go ahead for the 545 unless you really want to stay with your 530i and enjoy modding that. good luck with your decision. and btw, welcome and enjoy the forums.

Both the 545i and 530i are very nice cars. If you like dipping into the power band and feeling that torque, I'd have to say go for the 545i. Otherwise, if you're just looking for cosmetic mods, stick with the 530i. But my gut feeling is that you'll mod whichever car you end up with anyways. It's addicting!

you can other wise upgrade the 530i with some DINAN or DMS remap and save some money it will get you close to 300hp and still have the inline 6.

Your car does look sweet, but I have to trade in my 530i in order to save $5k in taxes. My dealer's trying to secure the 545i as I type this, I'll know by day's end whether I'm getting it!

I'm so pissed! I couldn't bid on the car b/c was unavailable for export to Canada b/c it was branded under the California lemon law. I'd done some research on the vehicle and found out the buy back was for error codes that had been fixed by changing the wiring harness.

Get this; an '05 black on black, 6MT, sport with only 16k sold for $30,750!
