Thanks irshad, they do look much nicer, will have to look in to the adaption plates.

there are 2 different e60 m5 aftermarkets mirrors available. One with and one with out exterior lighting. The ones w/o the lighting are like 200. There is a thread on where someone installed the lighted ones and he posted the link to where to get both kinds in europe.
