Yo man you need to consider a few very important questions before getting black rims:
1) Do my rotors have rust on them?
2) Do my calipers have rust and look old?
3) Do I have a 525 or 530? If so, my rotors are tiny compared to a 545 or 550 (yes they are).
4) Do I still have stock springs/shocks and a non-sport E60?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you should stick with silver wheels because black makes the eye look BEHIND the wheel and also is a very aggressive color. You better have a seriously badass looking car (I'm talking full mtech kit, shadowline trim, painted calipers, sport rotors, etc) before you go with black wheel especially if your car's color is dark. Silver, on the other hand, creates stark contrast with the rest of your car and catches the eye of the wheel and not what is behind it. It also compliments the E60 if you still have a lot of stock elements like no body kit, chrome trim, and so on.
Otherwise, its like putting lipstick on a pig. Just don't do it. Forget the vote count up top, 3/4 of the dudes voting here have like $10,000+ mods on their car. Of course they're going to say go black.
