I plan to order 530d with 6 CD changer & BMW professional radio. Anybody know if the BMW Business MiniDisc player is compatible with above? MiniDisc in the UK brochure (download from site) as an option. Any help appreciated.

I'd love to find out, too! My wife is looking at these, and we take our MiniDisc recorder everywhere we go (using the SonoPak Mic Kit). We want to be able to play back anything we record right away.

MiniDisc? The one made by Sony in late '90s.
If so, this technology is so out-dated. Are you serious?

As for making recordings and hearing them immediately (????) what's wrong with a digital recorder and playing back through the aux-in?
The digital recorders have the capability to record for hours (days even?) and have better options for playback. I'm intrigued though, what is it that you and your wife record and want to play back right away. When I'm out and about I can't imagine what audio I'd record that I want to play back right away. Amazon's

The first product I produced and sold was in this space. http://www.mironics.com in case you are interested. The site is still there but I closed that business a few years ago.
