the following is a email that mike sent me from modbargains on the m6 rims!!!

i want to know what u guys think of this deal!!

Hi Cosmo,

The 20? wheels only come in one offset pairing so there isn?t much to decide from.

20x9.0?, 20 offset

20x10.0?, 25 offset

This will be perfect for your E60 5 series, in fact your car is what we designed these wheels for.

Recommended tire size for the front is 245/30/20 and for the back 295/25/20 is good. Here are some setups in that setup (prices include wheels, tires, mounting, and balancing)

Continental ContiSportContact 3: $2774

Pirelli PZero Nero: $2852

Yokohama ADVAN Sport: $2972

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2: $3117

Add $149 for shipping cost within the USA

IS THIS A GOOD DEAL OR IS HE TRYING TO RIP ME OFF...

Mike is a good guy. I can vouch for him.

The rims he's selling are replica M6 rims.

ask him to price you the wheel without the tires, then price the tires separately and you can tell if he is trying to make tooooo much on ya.

thats the best way

modbargains are very good when it comes to dealing so he will give you a better price if you cna prove you can get it cheaper elsewhere

I'm pretty sure you are able to get better deal out there. The cost for a set of replica wheels is about a grand. Plus tires maybe another $1200-$1400 depending on which brand of you're looking for.

It's funny to spend more money on the tires than the wheels.

Don't go with replica for wheels!!!!

You can pay the same to get OEM wheels and some less expensive tires that perform as well as the more expensive ones (like General Exclaims).

The BMW is very sensitive to any small mismatches in wheels. I had massive vibration with my replicas. They are now sitting in my garage, as I have OEMs.

Best regards,
Richard

look mate what is a "real bargain" it is a almost free = REPLICA

O.E's are 19" and only. BMW has only 20"s as O.E. for 7er.

So besides that you got a nice price just check the 4 tires price in a US discount if the rest for the wheels you divide with 4 you are there @ your price of the rim.

Ok, now no joke, becareful we do not tell you not to buy replicas as we are snobs, but mate quality saves life, and good rim in a situation which is critical can save you!

Other then that, it's only your vallet which tells you what to do, good luck.

Guys - correct me if I'm wrong here, but if he goes through with this buy, those rears are way too wide (295). Rolling the fenders is a must, no?

As for Mike at ModBargains...he's a great guy. I spoke to him last week about my VB-3's that I purchased. He has these on his E90. Good guy, but I would question the width of that rear tire. I thought 275 was the widest without having to roll your fender...but maybe I'm wrong.

Just ask Ron or Mike, if you would have any problems what is the warranty and return policy, im sure they will work something out with you or for you, specially if its vibration problems, he quoted me for those exact wheels just yestarday, i think he has inventory that he's trying to get rid of so you might be able to name your price within reason.

Depends on what suspension he has? if M sport yes, if non M maybe for stock I think no rolling needed.

I will have for 285, my friend has 295 and with M yes he did that.
