Switched to these tonight from Dunlop Sp Sport DSST...the difference is NIGHT AND DAY! So quiet compared to the Dunlops...anyone have the same experience?

Thanks, this is good to know. I feel that my Dunlop DSSTs are way too harsh.

I agree. Had 17" Dunlops on my loaner for 2 weeks. Difference between those and 18" Michelin Pilot Sports on my own ride is really noticeable.

Kari.
Are those Michelin Pilot Sports mounted from factory nowadays, or are they mixing brands of tyres randomly due to availability?
Do you know?

I doubt Michelin's come from BMW factory. At least I bought them separately, because we need two sets of tires here.

Just came back from BMW Advanced Driver Training, the cars being used are the 330i with M-Technik suspension and 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sport (not PS2). I found the tyres so much noisier than my E60's 245/40/18 Rosso. I wonder if PS2 will be quieter and more comfortable than the original PS and the Rosso?

On my 1998 E430 Sport, we replaced goodyear F1's for the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. They rode very nicely and quietly, treadwear is phenomenol (sp). Maybe I don't drive it too hard. But I can still see the remnants of the originals nipples on the tires.

As for the PS2, it was very very quiet and handles very well! No squeeking of tires on hard cornering. I went on tirerack and these were rated very highly by fellow bmw owners and porsche and ferrari owners!

highly recommended, my ride couldn't be as nice!

I fitted the michelin PS2 under my old 330 Ci convertible and these tires are awesome.. They are 50% quieter then the pilot sports 1 from michelin and the thread looks great!!! Handeling also was a lot better then with the old pilot sports the car felt much lighter and had loads and loads of grip!

I wish they had them in a runflat version because I would have gotten them from my dealer instead of the bridgestones I am getting next thursday!
