Hi Guys
I have received my vinyl from Don, I can't open the tube yet as I am in work!!!!
I know how to remove the rails on the roof.
I need the definitive way to remove the shark fin.
From what I have researched it seems that heat gun and fishing wire is the safest bet?
If anyone has done this please let me know.
Will post pics asap but as nearly the whole country is on holiday at the moment I won't be able to get it done until September I think

heat gun and fishing tape sounds fishy, but I have no idea how to remove the fin myself...
Can't wait to see the pics of it installed, Tom!

Think you have to heat it to soften the glue that holds it on, I don't think it is screwed on otherwise I would have to take apart the headliner.

There is a tab in the headliner in the back of my car's roof and that tab just pops off. By the looks of it, I'd say that tab provides access to the third stop light bulbs and the shark fin mounts. But I'm just guessing here...
Hmmmm, maybe I will just ask him to wrap around the fin, I also want the fin wrapped as well.
Would make it a lot easier if I could get it off.

I just removed it today. Nope you can't use fish lines. The silicon glue is too strong and thick for that. You have to use a pen knife to slowly cut it loss while keeping it pry open with a trim removal tool. When it comes off, You have to use a sharp plastic trim removal tool to shave off the remaining on the roof. After that use BLACK Silicon and paste it back. Remember to line it till it is air tight if not water will leak and you will get to change your headliner to M5 Alcantara for a reason. =)
