Added the matte black grill, (thanks nerweezy) and thanks e60 for the DIY! Definitely gets rid of the chrome pig snout look.

Nice mod. Now you need to cover the yellow reflectors as your next mod. Get some Euro stickers.

I've never thought of it as a chrome pig snout! That's pretty damn funny.

Aaaaah, much better look for your e60. Most people tell me the change in my grill color brought my car a more aggressive look.

Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly are euro reflectors?

For the pre LCI (US spec), there is a yellow reflector on each side of the head light. Many members here prefer the cleaner look of the Euro spec E60s which has no yellow reflectors. So, an inexpensive way to fix it is to put stickers on them and we referred to them as "euro stickers". I believe member Akaluis is selling them.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

Nice job, I just did this myself and I agree, it really makes the car look more aggressive. Plus that chrome trim just looks tacky IMO

Is this a really easy mod? Few screws come out..pop in the new ones...put screws back in....done? Or is there more to it?
