Massively expensive first bodywork upgrade...
Okay, so this "upgrade" actually cost $23. Yesterday I finally grew tired of looking at my scratched, faded black reflector inserts on the rear bumper, so I drove to LB BMW and bought the red reflector kit. (Yeah, I know, color-matched inserts may look better, but these were cheap and available.) Installation took 93 seconds for both sides. Before and after pics below.

If you want, I actually have the color match rear inserts for our car, same color. I took it off when I installed my M5 rear. I too also had that black plastic.
PM me if you want it. its just hanging around in my basement.

Actually.. the cheapest upgrade you can do.. without costing anything, debadge your 525i. =) Just use ur dental floss and some cleaner that is paint safe and you'll be set! nice and clean looking.
Thanks, Nigxdoof! Just sent you a PM. Yeah, I've been thinking about debadging too. Or maybe just dental-flossing off that middle "2," buying another "5," and watching folks on the freeway crashing into each other as they're transfixed and trying to figure out what the heck a BMW "555i" is!

Unfortunately that is my only mod as well. I personally prefer the reflectors instead of the color match, I had color match before. Looks sweet and more current.

Plus the added bonus of having more rear visibility for night driving!!
