Seeing how you have a 535, aren't you concerned those crush bends affect performance? Maybe it's the angle of the pic, but the first bend they made looks like the diameter is almost reduced by half.

The existing diameter is 3" and I think the new pipe is either 2.25" or 2.5". I drove about 100 miles this weekend and haven't noticed any decrease in performance. The increase in sound makes you 'feel' like your accelerating faster but I think it's pretty much the same.

I like the deep tone sound of it. It mostly noticeable as you accelerate in the local streets. It was hard to hear the difference in the expressway due to wind and ambient noise; I'll have to group up with a 2nd car to see if can hear the sound better.

Please note that the muffler doesn't come with the support hangers, so those must be added and welded on.

Where did you order your muffler from? I see you have a 535i also

I ordered the 16559 from www.jegs.com. I picked it up for $495 + $19 for shipping. This is a cat back exhaust system by Magnaflow. The first 700 miles is the break in period. It sounds perfect. I will make a you tube video and post it up for you guys.

I got the Magnaflow cat back on my 535 and I love it. I was debating going with the RPI catback at first, but this was much more affordable, it was a no brainer.

Wow that muffler looks really good! I will be upgrading mine soon too and have a white 535i. Can you take some pics of it now that your car is off the lift? It'll give me a good idea if that's the look I want. Thanks!!!
