I am thinking of doing this mod, I have a 2008 550i. I know I have a dual muffler with dual inlet, it seems a lot of fabrication is needed to fit the Magnalow with a single inlet comapred to what I have. So I have two questions:

1- Is it worth it, I really would like a little deeper note from the muffler?
2- Is there a direct fit muffler out there?

Thanks in advance.

if your car is stock, and you dont have any other exhaust other than the stock, then it should be a simple swap. I bought my magnaflow muffler and all they did was add a straight pipe and weld the exhaust, nothing to crazy. IT definitely improves the exhaust note, much deeper and more aggressive. If you have the budget i would get RPI exhaust, which has less droning and you gain 13WHP.
