yeah this system is noticably louder, however my car is a weekend warrior. So I plan on removing the large resonator that comes with the Magnaflow system, and replacing it with two smaller resonators for a more rowdy sound. My muffler shop is going to make a custum piece, so if I want to switch it back, it will only take 30 minutes.

Hopefully I can get some sound clips for you guys, work has been real busy. I agree, for the price, this system is a no brainer. FYI: i bought mine pre owned (6 months old) on ebay for $500 shipped.

Glorious!! It definitely sounds throatier than stock! With the windows up I can still tell the difference in the growl, yet it doesn't sound like it resonates enough to drone. That's great man. I'm sure it makes a smile every time you push down on the gas pedal. Thanks for posting the vid and pics!

Here is a sound clip of my 650 with the Magnaflow cat-back system. IMHO the BMWs sporting a V8 have a great euro-tuned V8 sound. The Magnaflow cat-back system helps bring that out by making it a little louder on my 6er.

Definitely digging the euro-tuned V8 sound of my 650!

The next step is the removal of the mid-stream resonator, will post that soon!

This resonator X-Pipe is from the 2.5" MagnaFlow Cat-Back Exhaust System on my 2009 BMW 650i, the car was not loud enough with it in place (personal taste). The car was sold several months ago and this has sat in my garage for 3 years. It could be a great starting point for a custom exhaust system.

The exhaust section is 51" in length, the resonator is 9" x 15".

From MagnaFlow Website:

Our exhaust systems feature straight-through flow designs for the ultimate in unrestricted horsepower and torque for big power while maintaining exhaust efficiency. These systems are an engineered balance of interior and exterior noise levels and are tested against SAE j1169 standards.
