Default M5tech on preLci help

Here's the situation,

2007 530xi (production 8/06) pre lci that im swapping front bumper to an M5tech replica.

My friends at trinity auto sport tell me its a direct fitment ..... just remove the foam padding and im good and I can leave my oem brake air ducts.

I've read from members I can leave the foam, but shave it down. How much??

Members have also posted I'll need different air ducts for a more proper fit (part # 511 17 896 587 and 511 17 896 588)

My question... is it that the leaving the oem ducts will not supply sufficient air or or proper fitment or both?

Can someone with info help out, especially maybe someone who did the same swap.

These are 2 photos of what I have..............

They styro crash pad you need to leave on the car and trim or replace with a different one that goes with that bumper. If you trim it, you only need to trim maybe 1/2 " off the bottom. You will see when you put the bumper up on the car where and about how much. Its really simple to do. I believe if you don't trim, then the foam will hold the bumper down and mess with the gaps and alignments. I did not have to touch my ducts at all.

Juji that looks great No fitment issues? How about the headlamp washer covers? Any issue with those?

I actually did have trouble with the headlight washers. It seemed as though the molding on the mtech bumper, where the spring flips open the flap to spray the fluidd was different. I don't care for the washers since they dont really clean ..... so all I did was plug the feeder hose with a fat screw, thus disabling them. The feeder hose is under the driver side headlight. Very accessible once your bumper is off. Good luck.
