not being able to search for a string with less than 3 characters makes finding info on M5 wheels on non m5's difficult. Heres my question. What size spacers and tires are people running on the rears when they use 166's on non M5 e60's? Pictures would be greatly appreciated. I have a 545i sport package, and I'm trying to spec out the best look and fit. Thanks!

Easier through google for some reason...

285/30 is nice, a 275/30 is stock and for rim protection a 265/35 or 275/35

No spacers- straight bolt on of stock OEM 166s on my '07 550 with sport package. Everything's perfect and you can run 285/35-19 Michelins with zero problems. Sorry for crappy pics but the offset I think is perfect and there's no difference on the rear between M5 and normal e60. I do same stock on the front but the stock tire profile (as well as width) has to drop to 35 from 40 with a 245/35-19.

I'm disappointed with the rears at 275/30-19 on mine. I had Michelin PS2s originally with 285/35-19 and when they wore out I replaced them with Bridgestone Pole Positions with the Tirerack recommended size of 275/30-19. They absolutely look too small compared to the PS2s. They just don't fill out the wheelwell very well and I wish I hadn't bought that size. Live and learn- I'll wear them out soon-

I have 166's with stock size rears 285/35/19 and do not experience any rubbing on the rears. I did go with a 245/40/19 on the fronts for better protection and do have some slight rubbing when going over a deep dip, but it hardly ever happens and doesn't make a mark on the tire or seem to be damaging anything. This is on an 06 530i/sport.

I have a 545 with sport package as well.
I'm running 245/35-19 and 285/30-19 with 12mm spacers in the rear
Sits nice and flush with no rubbing at all.
