Will this be plug and play for a 2005 545i sport? I love how the steering wheel feels. As for the M button, will i still retain that diamond useless button? Anybody did this yet?
the M5 wheel from a US car will not be plug and play for you because the mounting plates are different. (All US M5s are 9/05 forward.) You have the older wheel mount. You can get the M Sport wheel which is identical except for the color of the stitching, includes the beefy thumb grips, and no //M button. Click on the pictures in my album for a close-up. I have a 10/04 545, it bolted right up, but I did have to buy a new airbag too.
