The thing is the dealer might void our warranty for this modification. Hence I was thinking of DIY.....
unfortunately, BMWs are far from plug-n-play. it is like installing new hardware on your computer, you have to install the software to go with it so to speak. only problem is, you dont have the tools to update the software. i would imagine this WOULD NOT void the warrenty as it is a standard factory option. either way, when you get yoru car serviced, they are going to see it! i would imagine this is comparable to getting an ipod adapter installed

No, got it from another another guy in the forum. Think I read my530i post before. His seems to be for Pre09/05 M5 steering.

Hi guys, just went down to my dealer. Seems that they do not have capability to fit the LCi w paddleshifts yet.

Tried asking around but looks like there's no solution.

Any luck with you guys?

Did you try member, schlrog, and www.aftermarketbulbsshop.com? I contacted him when I was planning this mod for a car I had on order. He seemed quite knowledgeable and responsive. I ended up changing my order to a 535i with paddle shifters from the factory.

Good luck.
