Who make your interior kit? Is it aluminum or carbon fiber? How much and where?

Thanks

It is just the regular Alu-Cube that comes as standard on the M-Sport models in the UK.

I just finished M5 steering wheel with paddle shift modification with My530i's instruction video. The whole process was easy and fast. However, I had a problem with active steering warning after the installation. But once again Fred "My530i" helped me to fix the problem. The new M5 wheel is way better than previous wheel. The paddle shifting is way better than older way of shifting with the gear shifter. I am getting a new digital camera. I will post picture later. The whole set up was not cheap ($1800), but it was worth it every dollar I spent on it. Thx Fred.

Sorry for digging up an old thread.

I have a 2008 E60 523 LCI, and I've just bought a SMG Sports Steering with Paddle Shift from ebay, similar to this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...T&viewitem=

I understand that I?ll need some extra wire harness to fit this steering onto my E60 523 LCI (Year 2008) in order to make the paddle shift work. Can anyone here advise me on where can I get this wire harness or retorfit kit and the cost?

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I'm also interested in finding out how to get the M5 paddles to work on Lci E60.

Tks for the info Craigm1841. I have the steering/paddles/wirings but seems like no one knows how to DIY for the paddles to work.

Any one has info on the wirings to work on LCi models. Much appreciated.

i am sure once it is all set up, you are going to have to go to the dealer and have them program the car to recognize the paddles.

The thing is the dealer might void our warranty for this modification. Hence I was thinking of DIY.....
