I like that shifter!
Fred's cabling makes it easy. The attachement of the M5 leather boot to the original leather boot is the only item that requires relatively precise work.

Look great Andy!
I did not expect it come to you that fast! Wow!
Was pretty fast indeed Fred, thanks.
BTW, what's your comment with regards to installing the M5/smg plate mentioned above - doable ?

I understand the smg or m5 shift plate will not work on the step without major mods -

BTW, what's your comment with regards to installing the M5/smg plate mentioned above - doable ?
Andy, it's doable...but you can't shift the gear lever (+/-) when in manual mode...if you look at the bright side, you can still shift through the paddle shifters on the steering wheel (at least thats what i do now )...the shift plate is just a matter of completing the looks with all the lights on the plate lighting up and in my case, the power mode functioning as a shortcut button for the DS/M mode... i can still push the lever towards the left to engage DS/M...

I don't even have to put the gear to P position to take out the key fob... i did this mod at a local workshop here...wish i could show you how to do it, but, i'm not the 'techy' type...just love the mods!

I think fred can help you out on this...he's the genius in this type of field...

Looking good Andy!!

Totally agree with what you wrote; that shifter kit really finishes off the interior nicely, especially with your new trims
Looking forward to seeing it in a couple of weeks time at the meet...

Very ugly: I don't like M5 shifter : the SMG1 shifter is WONDERFUL instead!
I think the SMG shifter looks like crap compared to the M5 shift knob.

Pete, there's more coming...if I'm lucky I'll try and get my windows tinted and high gloss shadowline installed before the meet - you guys are giving me pre-meeting mod jitters!

Holy cow Nick! You are NUTS!

Is it possible to drive the car with all those wires like that? I think that should be the look of the new interior for the F10.
