I agree with you if the OP wants an OEM-style wheel.

There are many fine non-OEM wheels. Like anything else you get what I pay for.

Whenever I cheaped out on aftermarket wheels, I paid for it in bends and cracks. The last set of aftermarket wheels I bought for my last car before this one (Infiniti M45 Sport) were expensive but, unlike the cheap crap wheels I used to buy for my winter set, those wheels did not bend in the winter.

So let me get this clear. Even though the replicas meet all OEM standards, DOT standards - there are claims here that they "aren't as good as OEM?"

That makes no sense - how/why is this possible? I've seen plenty of posts on this forum and others with replica wheels being fine. I realize you get what you pay for - but decent replicas aren't cheap. They replicate design - that's it.

Not all replicas are built the same way. There are decent ones and there are not so good ones. Like others said, VMRs and Miros are very good options.

There just aren't that many wheels that work for the xi models, especially oem wheels. When I was considering an xi, I was planning on getting the Miro M6 replicas. Actually, I'm still looking at those for my 535i for a winter set.

If you want oem wheels, you might try looking at 3 series wheels. If I remember correctly, the offset will work for many of them.

Those days of the $1600 for a set are OVER... M166 from Garry are $2100 now...

Please don't go with replicas. You may get vibration, plus all kinds of other problems.

A full set would be $1600 new if you get them from Garry at Newport or other places.

Save money by getting General Exclaim tires rather than PS2s.

Don't sacrifice the wheels!!!!!!

I have never heard anyone complain about OEMs.

hi,

I am looking to get new wheels for my car (E60 530xi) and I like the M5 replica wheels..
I noticed that most of the wheels that I saw had offset of 20ET..(I believe 40-45ET would work on my car)
does anyone know if there is m5 replica wheels for xi fitment?
Those M5 reps are total shit. They have the worst finish, look nothing like the OEM ones, barely have a concave look and have that lip around the circumference. Oh, and they'll vibrate.

Good luck!
