So my 5er body kit is coming along with its fair share of hiccups. Here's an update pic from the body shop I took today with the umnitza rear installed (sans paint). I'm pretty upset with that bend at the bottom between the exhaust tails.




So should I let the shop heat up the bumper to try to straighten it up or should I get this diffuser to cover it up?
Also, do any of you guys know if this aftermarket diffuser will fit the umnitza bumper (assuming I'll need slight modifications)?

 

You can't install m5 rear bumper accessories on an umnitza replica bumper. The gap between the exhaust pipe cutouts is wider on the real m5 rear bumper.

I had that same bumper for a few weeks and ditched it because it had the same bend at the bottom:

 

that sucks. Wish I would have known this before hand.

 

no way thats going to fit with out any hiccups... just mine done on the weekend as well just ready for a show, my body shop RANZ MOTOR SPORT did an amazing job cutting and customizing the bumper to fit, i did a vent on the rear also to give it a different look... hope you have a good shop that specializes in customization, coz if not that bent is a no go..

Do you have your old bumper for sale by chance? Not sure my shop is gonna be able to make this work.

 

We recommend putting some light pressure on that area overnight, it will straighten right up.

 

sorry dude! bumper sold last saturday with custom diffuser, u can still make it work but your body shop gotta play around with it, lesson learned sir never ever get replica bumper from... u know what i mean good luck with that..

 

Should of just bought an used OEM M5 rear instead of dealing with the pain of modification. Plus you get more choices of diffuser with the OEM M5 Vs Umnitza rep.
