Just wanted to post some pics and say a massive thanks to Hobi for fitting this to my car on Saturday. I don't think I've met a more professional and dedicated individual in my life - nothing was too much trouble for Tim. The completed mod itself is absolutely tremendous - transforms the car in my opinion and I'm looking forward to trying it out on the ring in a few weeks time

Many, many thanks to Eva, Bridget and your mother in law as well

Thanks for letting me drive your re-worked car!!! It has so much pulling power - it's great! Hope the new bits are working well for you... it was nice to work on a well spec. car! Hope you passed on my apologies to your wife for the lateness of your arrival back home!!!!!!!! Eva thought it was one of the funniest "mistakes" and she was VERY pleased to be involved. MAD!!!!!!

Hopefully there'll be more and more people interested in the September Ring visit and I'm tinkering with my car in the next few days for the 21st August show - and finalising the mount for the front cam.

Speak to you soon

All the Best

Tim

NB: Great closeup shots of the paddles btw..

Ok, I'm VERY jealous - very nice indeed.

Tim, are you ever around Mr Thorne's new "premises" - I visited him yesterday - would love to meet up for a chat.....

Hi Clive

I'll be back in the UK next week and will probably meet up with Thorney at some point. Would like to see his new place anyway too...

BTW, is your car manual trans?

All the Best

Tim

Help me understand this....

The paddles were designed for the SMG tranny. Do you have it contoling the Steptronic?

The paddles were designed for the new M5 and basically I found out how to make them with Steptronic-based cars. At the same time, I worked out how a normal SMG E60 with push/pull levers can be retrofitted with the M5 -/+ paddles instead.

All the Best
