I called Dinan today to find out exactly what was done to my car by the dealership when the owner had the car delivered to him originally. According to their records, I have the rear end gear upgrade (to 3.91) and the Stage 1 tuning and injectors. The gears do feel pretty low. My question is, how many forum members have ever gotten any grief for their mods (exhaust, cold air intakes, tuning packages, headers, suspension,etc.) when taking the car in for service?? I am wondering because I think my next mods would be CAI and exhaust (magnaflow or borla - with X-pipe) which I know are not approved by BMW like their German made counterparts. Which other mods would you recommend and is there a specific reason or reasoning for this?? Thanks in advance for any help on these topics.
