They are original M6 mirrors bought and installed at the BMW dealer.
I can't precise the cost because I haven't payed yet, but it's about 1500-1600?

Do they have the m6 mirror in the US?
Can the m5 mirror fit into a 6 series?

No good deed goes unpunished. Do your own search on the ETK.

I think the M5/M Sport mirror housing (official BMW AG 2005 Accessories brochure nomeclature) fits on the E60/61, and E63/64.

The biggest decision you'll have to make is not which mirror housing, but rather the type of glass/mirror you are prepared to pay for (ie auto-dimming or not, auto-dipping or not, heated or not). IIRC, there are 3 different levels of poison, with the most expensive being twice as expensive as the cheapest.

As the mirror housings are designed for markets where folding mirrors are available either as standard or as an option, North American E60/61/63/64 owners may have a problem using that feature because the wiring to the driver's side window panel is not a factory fit. You might therefore require a wiring retrofit by your friendly local stealer. I should add that these mirrors look totally awesome when folded, with the white LED courtesy lighting providing an neat finishing touch (almost Lexus like).

The M5/M Sport mirrors set can be expensive (depending on glass), but worth every penny in my opinion.

How sure are you that the m sport mirrors can fit on a e63/64?yea i have to agree its pretty expensive  What do you mean by IIRC and poison??
