Default M5 mirrors

I have installed m5 mirrors on my 2008 535i from 2007 m5
Plug and play , only issue I noticed ... Actually the tinting window guy , while my ignition is on - mirrors are so hot , you can not touch them , I disconnected the connector from the mirror glass for now until it's figured out .
Any thoughts ? Do I need programming ... Not sure if my stock mirrors were heated...
Thanks

I would also like to know more about heating function of mirrors retrofitted to stock non-heating car.
Are they supposed to be heated all the time or it could be turned on/off?
That's the reason i didn't enable heating function when retrofitted the mirrors.

Well then you can't says its plug and play.
And everything depends on the functions old vs new.
If the old news don't have memory and the new ones will, the memory won't work same for other funcions.

So what functions did the old ones have and what does the new one have ?
Probably there is a mismatch.

As far as I know all the mirrors are heated, never seen any none heated ones.
So the wiring old vs new is def different or you wouldn't have this problem. plug yes, but no play .

There's a first time for everything .

My old mirrors were non heated. 2006 car, with memory and electrochrome.
And the heating function was set to nicht_aktiv in KGM.
I would like to enable it but wanted to know first if the heating could be switched on/off other way than coding.

Sry am not convinced.
There is no option code for heated mirrors.

And look at RealOEM. There isn't a none heated mirror in there.

You're right. I was confused by STANDHEIZUNG.

And my dealer replaced mirror glass bothsides.
Now I know why they told me the mirrors were non heated. They probably put in some aftermarket glass as I remember the color changed to blueish.
Ducking addholes!!

Pavrom, try to ask Bruce Miranda about your problem.
Obviously, you haven't done nothing wrong. If everything works as it should with PnP, so should the heating function too.
