Just kidding Alex... I think you should make sure they will work first. That's what I will do at least.
There must be some experts on this forum who have figured out the wiring already (living on hope).

I keep my fingers crossed that the functions wud work with M5-mirrors on our cars.
Anyway as a back-up solution how do you find ACS mirror it supports everything except for the folding and dimming functions:

How do you find it compared to M5? Yeah, I understand it is not OEM but still?

No way to compare it. If I can't get the M5 mirror I prefer the stock one.

Yeah i would prefer getting the M5 mirrors to ACS mirrors. The price for the m5 mirrors are not really expensive (compared to ACS which is about $950). I would grab it right away if it fits our car

Don't forget about ebay.de. They sold a pair of M5 Mirrors for ?750 or more. I did not see the end.

I have here the new 2005 brochure and as the real M5 mirror just do not fit with our babes, they made for M sport pack a mirror option, but it is not the same ( M Technik does not want that everybody shall have M5 parts on "normal".-))) M e60s, as the fenders are different, the mirror's electrical wiring etc,) , though look the same

you mean the picture of the M Mirror in the accessory brochure 2005 on page 14 ?

There is only a picture but no reference to any partnumber in th eprice list. (just ask your dealer for further detail info)

I have the M-Sport package, so is there a special mirror for that?

I wonder how you cud tell it from pictures. I also have the brochure but I do not visualise any difference and I wud say it is rather fixed on the window's corner than on the fender itself? With wiring I agree apparently it is different.
