Congrats Alex!

Can someone write up instructions to manually change the instrument panel for an M5 ne without going to the dealer?

+1

You have to go to the dealer to codify it .
Anyway it should have a screw + a connector .

if you're refering to the actual hardware change, search my posts mate - instructions/fotos are present on the forum !

software = coding only from someone with appropriate equipment. Marco gave a review on how his dealer went about it.

Today is the day. My car is at the dealer from the morning for the M5 cluster modification.

We proceed with the CIP update but there was a small problem with the voltage of the car, so they told me, they will have to charge it and then proceed with the installation

Fingers crossed, i hope it will work.

Thanks a lot Niko.

My BMW dealer used the procedure as stated by Macro in previous posts. I gave them the instructions and they followed them step by step. The thing is that they didnt allow me to be there, so i am saying what the dealed told me. The only issue is when i upgrade the CIP of my car in the near future i will have to use my old cluster.

Progman wont work or any other methods, just the CIP upgrade computer.
