I am thinking of converting just the front bumper but i'm worried that it might look retarded since the M5 bumper is lower than stock. I know it might not look even looking at the car from the side view if i keep the stock side and rear setup. Also, i am not concerned about the small gap between the fenders and the front bumper because i might get it custom fitted at the body shop where i will get it painted. Has anyone done the M5 front bumper only mod? Anyone got pics? Your opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

member imsortofabigdeal had the M5 front before switching to the mtech. member busta had the M5 front as well on his past e60. you could try shooting them a pm.

I think you need the m-tech side skirts with it to make it flow.

You can leave the rear bumper stock, but in my opinion you need the side skirts

IMHO - the very first body mod I would make and the only one if I had a single one would be the side skirts. It's amazing to me that BMW doesn't just do away with the stock ones and put the M-skirts on ALL e60s... It's a huge difference all by itself- I ran my car with them alone for 3 months and peopel noticed- mostly I got so used the better shape that when I see the stock ones now they look awful.

You won't regret it-

Is not only the side skirts that you need to flow it the M5 front bumper. You will need the wider M5 front fenders to match the M5 front bumper, or you will have a gap between bumper and fender. A possible solution is to go custom with the M5 bumper and shave the corners to match the non-M5 fenders. And you still need to go custom with the air ducts of the M5 bumper.
IMHO, the M-Tech is the best because has the M5 design with a bonus - foglight.
