I wouldn't do it (if you're aiming for an M5 soundtrack). The M5 sounds the way it does because of the V10; an inline-6 running an M5 muffler won't give you that signature V10 wail. At best, you'll only enhance the sewing machine strum of the inline-6.

I'd check out aftermarket mufflers if power (although not much) is your goal like the OP suggested ... RPi, Dinan, RDSport, etc.
Thanks! Although Ill fit the M5 exhaust see how she performs and sounds, if I wont like it, ill get something else you mentioned

What would you recommend? I see you got it quad and the M5 bumper! What are your exhausts?
Mine is a custom magnaflow quad setup. Many members who have M5's usually swaps their stockers out with aftermarket for a reason. Don't know, I would just go with a different setup, rather then using stock M5 exhaust for the quads.

I say go for it! I don't think anyone on here has done it. I wanted to go that route before I got a good deal on my loud-ass BB.

I'd use the left side only. Here is my 5th grader logic. The M5 exhaust is designed for a 5L engine. You have a 2.5L engine. Use half of the exhaust.
