My Ride: Plucked bmw.....
Hi.
I have opportunity to buy for a good price a complete M5 front brakes.
So, is there any other technical issue, beside now bigger protection plate, and new brake pipes?
Tnx.

The thing is, that I have 550i, which already have pretty big front brakes. (348X36 vs. 374X36)
So, the only question is, would there be any big difference, when breaking.
Or it will be in my case more a "pimp" look out, and not such a M performance-braking feeling.

Its 374 front and 370 rears and yes you will feel a difference. Its a 2 piston caliper in the front and the pad rotor materials are exclusive to the M car.
2 options ...keep the ones you have and get a more aggressive rotor/pad setup or do the M5's.
2 key factors when going to M5 brakes. 1st is wheels. The wheels you run must and I stress must have a inner barrel clearance of 8.875 inches doesnt matter if its 18,19,20 the inner diameter from hub to barrel must be that number. 2nd is replacement costs.
Get ss brake lines all the way around, your already there might as well, you have to flush brakes anyways

About the wheels, now I runing on OE Styling 94, which are primary for E65/E66 models.

They are 8x18 ET24, and since E60/61 minimum ET is 20, I did have to install the spacers.
hm,..
. I will have to take one wheel down, to measured it if it have 8.875 inches or. 22,5cm (EU).If all goes well, then I will posted a DIY.
