they look fine to me! can you take a pic that shows closer detail of the area where the tire and rim meet? I want to see exactly how much the rim sticks out from the tire.

that looks exactly the way it should look, at least in MY opinion. So I don't understand what people are referring to when they say the rim protrudes from the tire sidewall further than would be visually acceptable, when using the 275's vs. the 285/30/19 size.

generals are great tires for their price. they offer some rim protection but it depends on the way you drive. i had the general tires when I had my 166s on my car and had no problems with them

Hey guy's, open question to all (I need to know) Does the 245/35 & 275/30/19 set up look visually appealing on the m166's? since they are SLIGHTLY (approx. 1/2 inch narrower) than the stock m tires, I thought about the possibility of too much rim lip sticking out from the bead area of the tire Comments please.
I paid $500 a pop, uninstalled, for the 285/35 19 Michelins which were shipped across the U.S. They look great but I don't think I'd paid that premium again when the Contis are 40% less. The new LCI 550 sports have the same size wheel with the 275s in the back and I agree, particularly with the LCI's OEM wheel, it looks all wheel and no tire...It just doesn't look right aside from the wheel being more susceptible to damage from potholes and such.

The Generals are approximately $550 for all four.
