Hey guy's, open question to all (I need to know) Does the 245/35 & 275/30/19 set up look visually appealing on the m166's? since they are SLIGHTLY (approx. 1/2 inch narrower) than the stock m tires, I thought about the possibility of too much rim lip sticking out from the bead area of the tire Comments please.

245/35 looks perfect on the front M166 wheels. But 275/30 in back is a bit small. Try 285/30s in back.
Here's my 245 fronts (photo on left) and 275 rears.

Make sure your tyres have rim protectors (as in the pic) and they will look fine.

If you look here: www.syed.at/e60 you will find pics of my old car with 166 wheels with 8,5 front (245/30) and 9,5 rear (275/30) with offset 28 and 13 mm spacers
attached is a pic of my current car with the winter setup (8,5" wheels with 245/35 tires) with 10 mm spacers
one thing to bear in mind, 245 is for example not always 245. dunlops or contis for example are not as "widely cut" as vredsteins.. i would pay attention on which tires to get, since that makes a huge difference on how the wheels look...

I know what you mean, I currently have Dunlop Graspic's in 245/18 on my 530, and I notice when looking at the car either facing the grill, or facing the rear bumper, the tires appear to be somewhat "rounded" at the inner and outer corners. Alot of tires from this view look almost perfectly square, but not these.

Are you familiar with the Exclaim UHP by General? I see a lot of guy's are using them, and the price is certainly right ( I had $180 quoted in the 245/275/19 sizes, mounted and balanced) here in NY. But I am very curious about how they will look on the 166's.
$180 installed is a good price.
