I've been trying to figure out what is the best way to paint the m-tech aero body kit on my titanium silver 545i with sport package. Do I install the primed kit and then have it painted? Do I give the kit (uninstalled) to the body shop to paint and then install it? I'm concerned with overspray and such on the factory paint finish. Appreciate any thoughts and suggestions. Sorry if this question sounds dumb.

Depends how you want it done.

A) Drop off primed kit, have shop paint it, and just bolt it on your car later.
Drop off car with primed kit. They spray the bumper and make sure the paint matches.

You definitely want to have the kit painted off of the car, or it'll look like a taxi.

Thanks for the responses. So far I have one for painting before install. Any other thoughts?

Most people have the kit painted then installed. That is what I did with mine. I gave the body shop the color code.

Awesome, I'm sold. I'll take the paint then install approach. Thanks Everyone!

Wait, so it'll look like some version of a yellow cab?

Yes, a nice contrasting lime green with overspray would look great
