Right, what I meant by magical is: why the $700 difference, it seems the reason was paint (as quoted by member thefleet in post #16 in this thread), why should paint cost that much more? Other members are welcome to chime in here...

also, the "other" option we're talkin' about here is the timing in how long you get your actual mtech kit.
there is a difference between quality vs quantity. Why would the majority of Socal members go to EuroRev if is so costly? For quality work that's why. That's one of the reasons why I work there just to help you guys get the quality parts they have (i.e Hamann style splitters (refer to C's Bimmer))

for that of us who have found a respective "home" shop........it's why we continually go back. price palys a huge factor, but more importantly....it's the piece of mind that they do great work and won't disappear on you! not to mention you build a great business relationship, benefiting you for future mods!
as AW stated......it's all about quality over quantity!

Absolutely agree with you in terms of quality. That's the main reason behind my initial question, if the quality is there (as it looks like it is) then cool. The mark up in price would and should reflect that. And it's obvious you guys do great work as shown by all the members e60's you've laced. But again, no one has answered exactly what the "quality" is? Both are OEM parts. If it's the customer service quality and install quality then so be it, that's reason enough to pay the difference to have that peace of mind. In no way am I trying to attack the shop or it's rep nor am I a "non-believer", just asking as a "consumer" would...
And again, according to the poster that actually stated the mark-up in price, it was stated the reason was paint, that's why I was asking about the difference (quality as you put it) in paint.
