Hi everyone. I am awaiting my 2006 530xi and am contemplating whether or not to put the M-Aero kit. I love the look of the e60, however the kit makes it look even more incredible. After doing a search on here, most M-Aero kits have been on 545's. Granted what we all decide to do with our cars or what we want for them is what we will get but I just want to know what everyone thinks about something like this. Am I being too analytical or is it much like putting an ///M5 badge on a 530xi? What does everyone think?
P.S. By no means am I trying to offend anyone who has done this. Remember, I am contemplating the same thing here. I guess I just always felt that the ///M-Technik Aero Kits have always been for the closest model to the ///M5. But again, my point of view, and thats why we have these forums. Thanks everyone!

If we take e.g. a 525d. This car takes standard about 8.1 seconds to 100km/h (62 Mph) and has 400 Nm torque. After chiptuning, this can be brought down to about 6.9 seconds and up to 510 Nm torque.
I think this pretty justifies some aerodynamic features. So, there's more reasons than just the visual aspects.
For the people who know a little bit about BMW's, they can easily recognize the difference with a real M5.
Believe me, you won't regret getting the M-package.
Just read some posts and you will see how many people on this board have installed the M-technic kit since it has become available.

My Ride: 535D Sport Auto
Get the kit
Mine feels like an M5 to me all I need to do is take the front fog lights off and reduce the torque output - should be pretty close then

I used to have an e39 1999 540i with DINAN mods and for here in the US I had put on the M-Tech kit way before it was actually available from BMW NA with the sport package.
I really honestly think im going to get it. I guess I just wanted to hear it from someone else. Thanks guys.. I will keep you guys posted on pics both when I get the car, and when I do the changes. Thanks again.

You guys dont understand how much luckier you are. Here in the US the M-Kit can only be put on afterwards. Anyhow, can anyone share their experiences after/during install?
