Looks good. Just had the M-kit installed on my xi, it really tranforms the look of the car. You will need to do some research before picking up different wheels for the car. The high offset of the xi's will not allow you to run any of the wheels suggested above (at least not the OEM versions). If you need more info, just search the forum or PM the expert on the topic - C's Bimmer. Running winter tires on the stock 17's is a good call and works well.

Good luck.
I heard C Bimmer is the expert on wheel/tire options for the xi's..... maybe he'll weigh in and give us the latest advice.

That is a GREAT question. I am starting a new job that is going to "allow me" the opportunity to "enjoy" my 535xi .... for about 3 hours a day... (65 mile commute each way). I figure I will be racking up close to 40,000 miles a year - so my game plan is to stick with the OEM wheels and tires til the fall, and then go with winter tires on the present rims. In the spring of 2009 I'll add 166M rims and summer tires.

BUT I AM OPEN FOR SUGGESTIONS!!!!!!!!!
Sorry no 166's for the xi. They do no make the wheels with the correct offset for our car.

Just had the M Aero Kit installed by BMW of Newport. Total price was $3,700 (including Garry's 25% discount on parts). The photos aren't great but they will have to do for now til I can find the time to take some better ones.
i hate to be a barer of bad news but you got taken for a ride. i just bought my kit(painted) from quad m for $1,899 and i got a bodyshop lined up that will install for about $300. so grand total of $2,199. how in the world did it cost you $3,700?????????
