Hi all, so I received my new Lux H8 180 lamps yesterday and I am now at the local shop, to have them installed due to a low beam out. I figured to do them both at the same time. Which is why I bought this pair for my 2006 BMW 525xi. The manager said these will not fit my car ? So what will? Does anyone know I really wanted to install LUX. I am waiting know for the plain old stock lamps too be replaced. The website for Lux said these would fit a 5series e60 LCI.

 

2006 is pre-lci, unless you changed your headlights. You said low beams I'm assuming you have halogen headlights and not xenon am I correct?

 

Yes you are correct I am pre-lci, I will be returning my Lux lights back. Lux unfortunately does not make a led lamp for my model. Headlights need to be wet sanded I will look into maybe new ones though. Weigh my options I suppose thanks. Yes I believe they are halogens not sure had the shop replaced both lamps.
