The only way I would lower a car is with a factory approved, or high quality aftermarket suspension kit. If you just replace the springs, you will sacrifice ride, handling, and overall performance just for looks.

as much as i would like to lower it a little bit, i will either wait it out until Dinan releases some sort of kit, wether it be springs only, or springs & shocks, or Coilovers - i'm pretty sure it will be quite costly, however it will be covered under BMW factory warranty, and not do too much harm to my lease.

In the past, dinan has simply used rebadged koni, eibach and/or H&Rs. They do let you pay more though.

I know that AC Schnitzer has shock and coilover for E60.. but it's pretty expensive..

I disagree. I had H&R Race springs ONLY on my e46 and it handled better than stock, rode smooth, and performance was great as far as suspension goes. Now for my e60 I just orderd H&R Sport springs (and only because the race is still in development) and I have already riden in 2 e60s from where I purchased everything from and it rides PERFECT with just springs.
