I got a quote from a local BMW specialist to get my car lowered. He said that for the labor alone, they will charge me for 8 hours. Each hour is $93.50. Total=$748 with out hardware.
Thats sounds a bit high. Is this a normal price or is he trying to overcharge me?

My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i
I had my Eibach pro-kit springs installed on my E46 for $125. The price that shop quoted is ridiculous. Or if you know someone with the expertise or if you are mechanically inclined, you can borrow a spring compressor from your local pep-boys (or autozone I forget) and DIY.
8 hours is ridiculous, he has to be charging you for letting your car sit there while he works on others. I think I waited just under 2 hours for mine.

Thats complete bullshit. I installed my own springs on my e46. It took like 3 hours cus it was only me and my buddy. I recently got my SHOCKS & Springs installed at Impressive and they charged me 3 hours of work at $75 an hour ($225). DO NOT install them with him. What a rip off.

Just keep shopping around and ask around various forums for some good shops are your area. Los Angeles has a ton of shops so it's easy to call around and find the best price or have shops try to meet you somewhere in your budget. I would try to pay no more than $250 for the install if possible.

i got my eibach's installed around my area at New Amber for 170$ 85 fronts and 85 back they didnt charge me for labor i guess its was all included on my 530 but on my E55 i had lowering links installed and the car is air compressed struts so it raises and lowers itself at my wanting
