Thinking about doing lowering springs (maybe Eibach) but just for the rear. I'm currently on sport suspension and the front is pretty slammed as is.
Has anyone done this?

Also need a recommendation on SoCal shops that do this kinda work @ a reasonable rate. It would be nice if this same shop also rolled fenders as well.

Performance Plus in Long Beach (Cherry near VW dealer) will do 2 springs and alignment for $195.

EF1 in Signal Hill (Long Beach) can do lowering and roll your fenders if needed. Talk to the owner Fabrizio.

I would HIGHLY not recommend mixing up suspension components. This has been asked on the M3 forums with people wanting the whole raked vs. non-raked look and it will definitely sacrifice handling, balance, and stability. I had Eibach pro-kit front and rear springs on my E46 M3 and it changed the feel of the car. If i were to imagine putting only the front or rears on, I think it would get ugly.

Also, SP Engineering (www.sp-power.com) did my springs install for me. I believe they charged $150 for all four which is an awesome deal. They even saw my exhaust was loose and missing a bolt and did that for me as well. If you want a fender roll, pm user spunkysandoval on the s2000 forums (www.s2ki.com), he charges $60 for front or rear or $100 for both.

+1 for not mixing. also, we can do the lowering as well, located in Irvine though.

Thanks for the feedback Gentlemen. Definately understand the theory behind not mixing but I'm trying to get hard evidence of positive or negative results with mixing a (minimal drop) aftermarket rear with a OEM sport susp front (unchanged). Not sure why my front feels and looks so "slammed" while the rear has a gap. If the only option I have is to either change both front and rear or go all out on coilovers, then maybe I'll just keep it all stock.

I think if you mix the ride quality will feel all weird because of the different spring rates.

I use to have the sport suspension......and changed to eibach.....the front get lowered by only a lil bit more.....like 0.5 inch?.....i suggest non mixing springs as well

Not mixing seems to be the majority here. Anyone know of a member who went from Sport Susp to Eibach that has before and after pics? Preferably a member who kept the stock shocks/struts...?

sorry I have a non-sport and went to eibachs pro-kit. in my personal experience, I went with just the springs at about having 25k miles on the car. stock shocks lasted for another good 25k miles before I switched to Bilstein shocks. most, including myself, will recommend doing shocks and springs together, and especially since you wouldnt have to do labor twice.
