lowering spring mods

need some help.... i want to lower my 530xi by just buying aftermarket springs. the question is are the 530i and 530xi the same when it comes to buying springs? or do i have to buy them specifically for the xi?

There are more options for lowering the 530i than the 530xi. The more popular lowering springs for the E60 are H&R and Eibach. I don't know if they would work on the xi though.

yea thats all that pops up for the xi is h&r but they are 300 bucks... not a whole lot but when you compare it to the 530i its almost 200 more!!! anyways guess im gonna have to cough up the money.

Tire rack spits out different model numbers for the H&R springs when i input the X vs the i so i think it does matter. Sorry i couldnt be more help.

There are separate springs for I vs XI. I'm selling a set for the XI in the classifieds
