I'll tell you my philosophy right now, as a broke loser 20 year old student: get stuff that'll make your car breathe better. Go for the RPi scoops, a DCI, and a filter of some kind (I'm still kinda torn between BMS, BMC, and K&N). That really is the best way to start off since you won't be diving head first into modding and you'll gradually get to the point of the more expensive ones. If you blew everything on a set of wheels and tires right off the bat, you won't be going any faster. It might feel better or different, but in the end, you'll enjoy your car more when looking at it, but not more than you already do when you drive it.

Just my two cents.

Do you really want to take modding advice from this cat?

OP - Warning: These stuff are bad for your wallet, you should sell your car now and stay away from us....

This is the truth! My car is only about a month and a half old and thanks to these boards I have already added an m-tech kit, acs pedals and am in the prcess of finalizing new shoes for her. Pics will be up soon! To think I stumbled onto this site out of curiosity LOL! After a week of looking at these boards my unmodded car looked pitiful to me! Oh well, money spent, modding done and now she's purty again! lol

Oh by the way, I have noticed that I frequently stop by the garage door, open it up and take a moment to admire the ride. This is happening way to much daily. Anyone else do this? lol

Don't feel bad, I had nearly 2 years of basically stock BMW - then one day I did a search or some info, found E60.net, joined, and it's been downhill ever since. I am firmly in the grasp of the mod abyss, can't stop..................
