+1. but id say go with just the straight pipes first with no mufflers. at least you will know how that sounds like and if you like it, then keep it. if that isnt what youre looking for, you always can remove a resonator or all three.

Recccomend straight pipes with no mufflers, that should give the deep V8 sound, (more of deep shaking vibration)

had this done to my E36 325i in 98/99

Per the warranty question- do you guys think there are many exhaust issues? I'm considering running a custom quad setup, but now I'm getting worried.

thanks!

Which exhaust is the loudest based on ur opinion? i am looking for a loud nice manly v8 QUAD setup for the 545i doesnt have to be jus quads it can be dual with quad tips as long as it wont look funny with the reiger kit and it sounds good. So what is your guys's opinion for a loud exhaust for the 545i? any pics/clips will be very helpful

Thanks
A loud exhaust gets old and tiring very fast. It will sound good or a while and be a headache the rest of the time. You should do what I am doing. Keep the stock exhaust and add a electrical 3" cut-out before the stock mufflers. Then channel this into a quad set-up with either a strait through muffler or no muffler at all. At the touch of a button you have the loud exhaust to impress your friends and with another push of the button the exhaust won't drive you crazy on a long trip.

most dealers wont really care i believe about exhaust, especially if bolt on or anything. as long as nothing is caused by the exhaust, like the o2 sensors or anything, then you have no warranty troubles. someone correct me if im wrong.

thanks for all of ur help..why are you adding a borla muffler? isnt that gonna quiet it down? or is that what you are aiming for?
but will the quality of sound ..sound good?
I thought about it, and to be honest In not looking to shake the neighborhood, but then again I'm not sure what it will sound like because Im basing it off Jordans Quad but he has a v6 engine

But overall, Im just looking for deep tone, but nothing really loud, and most importantly, I dont want any drone

Im afraid if I go full straight pipe, no resonators and no muffler, that there will be a drone or an uncomfortable rumble at idle.

I could be wrong, so dont go by what I say =)

lol
