Hi i have a 530i 2005, recently i was just driving and the light for the airbag came on in my dash and the screen said pass seatbelt tensioner malfunction, so idk if i need the whole part or just a sensor any help does any body had this prob. before or knows about it?

I think the tensioner is ok. Try recharging your battery and clear the error memory. See if the error reoccurs.

charging the battery with a battery charger or just running the car and let the battery get charged that way? i also don't think the battery needs to be charged works fine doesn't seam to be low

With a battery charger.

You wouldn't believe what these cars start to do by themselves when the battery voltage goes even a little low. The engine may start without any kind of problems etc, but there might occur some other little problems.

I'm just saying that don't hurry with a new tensioner...

Allright am actually going to bmw frid to reset the code and check the car to see whats wrong, but tanx thought good to know that

Yeah. I can tell I had exactly the same issue last summer, but the error hasn't become up after I carefully charged the battery.
