how flush does your spoiler sit? I can see a small gap in the middle , also each end seems to have a gap on the sides of the trunk...

did any of you dremmel some high points on the inside of the spoiler , where the 3m tape will be placed?

Use my method and no Dremmel needed

It will never sit flush... its a spoiler. Unless you use body filler to "mold" it onto the body/trunk.

Mine sits on the portion of the edge of the trunk. There are 2 lines that make up the edge. Its hard to describe it

I'd be weary of relying solely on 3M tape, I have heard way too many horror stories of spoilers flying off on the freeway. If I had to do it again I'd do the same steps:

Maybe they didnt clean up the area, or left wax on the body.... I trust 3M and have used it for years. If you clean up the body correctly, theres no reason it would come off.

pjinca , thanks for the instructions.. I will try it this weekend.

Artic , your spoiler seems to sit really flush compared to mine. =\

Yeah, I think we do. I got mine from eBay seller 4A-Motors, got the roof and trunk spoiler painted for $180 over 2 years ago. Paint matched perfectly, and so far no problems that weren't self inflicted (my wife left a breaker bar in the way when I was backing in, spoiler cracked and needs replacing)
