Okay first i changed my starter and my car sat in the drive way for a good 2weeks so now the car starts due to a bad starter, after i the swap my starter i got a overheating message and the fan turn full blast and heater blows cold air..so i did a obd2 scan and code p0599 popped up "thermostat circuit running high" so i went to bmw to buy the new thermostat to replace, but i still got a overheating message and im like wtf? i guess its a bad waterpump so i replace that too! STill overheats with the new parts =/ i took off the thermostat and i boiled hot water and threw in the new thermostat in the pot and it stayed closed but my old thermostat opens right up in the boiling water..sooo now im like okay ill use the old thermostat and new waterpump!Still overheats... -__-
i took off the waterpump and did a volt tester on the waterpump and thermostat plug and its giving the right amount of voltage soo then i connected the wires to the electric waterpump to see if it will spin but nothing happened.. im assuming when i replace the new thermostat that stayed shut it probably messed up the new waterpump and the old waterpump was died first.. so my last gamble is to get another waterpump and if it does work ill just take it to the stealership..
