I'm getting those M5 wheels to. Just don't know if I can justify the price for the PS2. $1300 from tire rack.

Yes, the tires were nearly just as expensive as the rims. I looked around at other tire brands in the same category and all were similar in price so since the PS2's were so highly spoken of I decided to just get them. I assume I won't be dissapointed, except treadwear worries me! We'll see....

Nice, congrats!

How come you didn't put them on? Still got winter setup on?

How did you fit the rims in your car?
I see 1 in the trunk and 2 in the back seat? Where's the 4th?

I bought the OEM M5 rims and tires seperately, not take offs from an M5. The tires are Michelin PS2 245/35-19 front and 285/30-19 rear. I did a lot of research before buying everything so I'm sure they'll fit. I'll know for sure soon.

Most people get the 275 in the rear but the 285 look so cool... I don't know if they were worth the $80 higher mark-up per tire (275: $329, 285: $409) but you live only once.... I had to give my VIN to tire rack to get those 285 tires because they're apparently a low production tire size from Michelen.

Hello Mark,

This is the best setup for a 545i.
The wheels are the most visible change in our car's look. OEM Style M166 and M167 are the best looking in my opinion.
The M166 for light colour cars and the M167 for dark color cars.
285/30 is not so low profile, (85.8 mm unfitted) so don't be afraid so much of the pothholes.
Mine is 265/30 (79,5 mm unfitted) and i'm very careful on the road.

Nick

I'm not sure if the change I have noticed is due to the Michelin's or just getting the runflats off my car. I just cleaned up my 124's with runflats for storage and my God are they heavy! I do know this - the change with 166 wheels and PS2's is enormous! You will feel connected to the road, and you will wonder why they put runflats on the car in the first place. A huge improvement.

Hi darkside, I might saw your car couple of times around university district. You always park the car at 830 in the morning. The parking spot is always the same and it was either your bmw or RX lexus who park in the spot.

Am I right?

I always use the same street everyday so Im kinda recognize all the parking cars especially in the morning

My previous car was an 03 M3. One of the reasons I changed to the 550 is that my wife wouldn't drive the M3, and I needed to borrow her Lexus to take our dog to our home on Whidbey on a regular basis. When my car is parked there it means my wife is driving it. I just pray the rims will survive, and that my 550 does not get keyed the way her Lexus did.

Would the 166M wheels fit directly into my 535dA?
